
The Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is one of the most popular girl child schemes running in Uttar Pradesh. Who is Eligible for Kanya Sumangala Yojana?
The applicant must fulfil all these conditions:
- The girl child must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh
- Family should have maximum 2 children (if twins are born in second delivery, all three girls are eligible)
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹3 lakh
- Family should not have more than one four-wheeler vehicle (tractor, harvester excluded)
- Family should not have more than 5 acres of agricultural land
- Government employees or income tax payers are not eligible
Special provision: Orphan girls living in Balika Grih/Child Care Institutions are fully eligible without income criteria.

- Click on “Citizen Service Portal” → “Register Here”
- Fill mobile number → Get OTP → Complete registration
- Login with mobile number and OTP
- Click on “Apply Online” → Fill complete form
- Upload all required documents

- Take printout and keep safely
After submission, the application goes to Block → District → State level for verification. Once approved, money comes directly in the linked bank account.

No. Only families with maximum two children are eligible. Exception: If second delivery results in twin girls, all three are eligible.
